The Leukaemia Panel - ALL test is recommended for individuals who • have symptoms suggestive of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), such as fatigue, easy bleeding or bruising, recurrent infections, bone pain, or enlarged lymph nodes, • have abnormal blood counts or blood smear findings that raise suspicion of ALL, • have a family history of leukaemia or other genetic predispositions to ALL, or • are undergoing treatment for ALL to assess response to therapy or detect minimal residual disease (MRD).
Abnormal results from the Leukaemia Panel - ALL test may indicate the presence of specific gene rearrangements associated with ALL.
During the test, a bone marrow sample is collected using a Na-heparin vacutainer. The sample is sent to the laboratory for testing.
