GBM-Antibody Glomerular Basement Membrane Serum

This test measures the presence of antibodies against the glomerular basement membrane.

This test is recommended if you

Elevated levels indicate a higher risk of Goodpasture's syndrome or other autoimmune kidney and lung diseases. 

This test involves drawing a small sample of blood from a vein in your arm using a needle and a syringe. You may feel a slight pinch as the needle is inserted, but the procedure is generally quick and painless.

To prepare for this test:

• No fasting or special diet is required before the test.
• Inform your doctor about any medications or supplements you are taking, as certain medications can affect the results.
• Wear loose-fitting clothing to make it easier for the healthcare provider to draw blood.
