CSF ACPIL

CSF ACPIL Test measures the levels of IgLON5 in your CSF (cerebrospinal fluid).

• To diagnose and monitor IgLON5 antibody disease

• To assess the effectiveness of treatment for autoimmune neurological disorders

• To determine the risk of developing autoimmune neurological conditions

• To aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of other related conditions affecting antibody levels

CSF ACPIL Test is recommended if you have

• symptoms suggestive of autoimmune neurological disorders, such as sleep disturbances, movement disorders, or cognitive changes,

• a previous diagnosis of IgLON5 antibody disease or other autoimmune neurological conditions,

• a family history or genetic risk factors for autoimmune neurological disorders, or

• symptoms that may indicate other related conditions affecting IgLON5 levels.

Elevated levels may indicate the presence of IgLON5 antibody disease or other autoimmune neurological conditions.

During the test, a sample of your CSF will be collected using a leakproof container. The sample will be sent to the laboratory for testing through the immunofluorescence assay (IFA) method.

• Inform your doctor if you have any specific requirements.

Autoimmune panel: This blood test measures various antibodies associated with autoimmune diseases, providing a broader evaluation of autoimmune conditions.
