- CA125: This tumor marker is commonly used to monitor ovarian cancer, but it can also be elevated in other conditions such as endometriosis and pelvic inflammatory disease.
- CEA: Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a tumor marker that is often used to monitor colorectal cancer, but it can also be elevated in ovarian cancer.
- CA72.4: This tumor marker is less specific for ovarian cancer than CA125, but it may still be elevated in some cases.
- HE4: Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) is a newer tumor marker that is thought to be more specific for ovarian cancer than CA125.
- ROMA Index: This is a mathematical algorithm that combines the levels of CA125 and HE4 to provide a more accurate assessment of the risk of ovarian cancer in women with a pelvic mass.

The test involves drawing a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm.
