This test is primarily done to:

• Diagnose opportunistic infections in those with weakened immune systems
• Provide early detection and treatment of dangerous pathogens

• Prevent further complications like severe diarrhoea and malabsorption issues

Your doctor will recommend this test if:

• You have symptoms of severe diarrhoea or chronic gastrointestinal problems

• You will provide a stool sample in a sterile container.

• Collect 5gm of stool in a leak-proof container.
