Molybdenum Hair Test by ICPMS

This test measures the level of molybdenum in your hair sample.

This test may be recommended if you have

During the test, a small sample of hair will be collected from your head by cutting close to the scalp. The sample collection is quick and painless and usually takes just a few minutes. You can return to your daily activities immediately after giving the sample.

To prepare for the test

• Wash your hair with a mild shampoo and avoid using any hair products (conditioner, hairspray) on the day of the test.
• Do not bleach or dye your hair before the test as it may affect the results.
• Inform your doctor if you have taken any nutritional supplements or medications that may interfere with the test results.
