The Allergy Child Panel measures IgG antibodies to Cow Milk, Soyabean, Peanut, Almond, Coconut, Cocoa, Wheat, Cod Fish, Egg White, Corn, Cat dander, Dog Dander, Dermatophagoides farinae, Aspergillus fumigatus, Rice, Potato, Bermuda grass, Cockroach along with Total IgE in children.
This test requires a blood sample. A tourniquet (elastic) band is placed tightly on the upper arm. The patient is then asked to make a fist. This helps in the build-up of blood filling the veins. The skin is disinfected before needle insertion and the blood sample is collected in vacutainer.
Negative: < 0.1 KUA/L
Positive: => 0.1 KUA/L
Detection of IgE antibodies indicates an increased likelihood of allergy to the 18 allergens viz. Cow Milk, Soyabean, Peanut, Almond, Coconut, Cocoa, Wheat, Cod Fish, Egg White, Corn, Cat dander, Dog Dander, Dermatophagoides farinae, Aspergillus fumigatus, Rice, Potato, Bermuda grass, Cockroach that may be responsible for eliciting signs and symptoms.
A negative result indicates that the symptoms are not due to the 18 allergens and other differential diagnoses must be considered.

- Hives or welts
- Flushed skin or rash
- Face, tongue, or lip swelling
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Difficulty breathing
- Sneezing
- A runny or blocked nose
- Red, itchy, watery eyes
- Wheezing and coughing
- Worsening of asthma or eczema symptoms
