This test is recommended for individuals who:

• Are suspected to have adenocarcinoma or have already received a diagnosis
• Have metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary origin
• Are undergoing treatment for adenocarcinoma or being monitored for treatment response

An abnormal result could indicate the presence and extent of adenocarcinoma. However, abnormal results alone cannot confirm a diagnosis. It is important to discuss the test results with your doctor, who will consider them in conjunction with your medical history and other diagnostic tests.

• A small tissue sample is obtained from the affected area through a biopsy or surgery.
• The tissue sample is processed using immunohistochemistry techniques to assess CK8 expression.
• You will receive the test results within four days.
