AFB-DNA (TB-PCR) Detection – Pus / Abscess / Aspirate

The "AFB-DNA (TB-PCR) Detection – Pus / Abscess / Aspirate" test is used to diagnose infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB Complex) or Non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM or MOTT) in clinical samples of pus, abscesses, and aspirates. If the result is MTB positive, the reflex test of Rifampicin resistance by Ultra CBNAAT is performed to determine if the MTB strain is resistant to Rifampicin, an important drug used in TB treatment.
