Calculus (Stone) Analysis By Automated FTIR (Gall Bladder Calculus)

Gall Bladder Calculus Analysis measures the composition of gallstones found in the gall bladder. The test identifies the presence and types of stones, such as cholesterol, pigment, or mixed stones.

Gall Bladder Calculus Analysis may be recommended if you

During this analysis, you will need to provide a sample of your gallstones obtained during gall bladder surgery or removal. The sample will be analysed using a method called Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
