This test is done to:

• Diagnose peritonitis symptoms
• Determine the cause of abdominal pain or swelling
• Identify cancers or infections affecting the abdomen

This test is recommended if:

• You are experiencing symptoms like severe abdominal pain
• There is a need to monitor treatment progress for peritonitis
