BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Lakshmi Priya started her career at ESIC Medical College and Research Institute in 2013 with hands-on experience in specialized fields like Molecular biology, Automated ELISA, Indirect immunofluorescence and also mentoring MBBS students. Thereafter, she started working in a Cardiac specialty Dr. Cherian Heart Foundation from 2016 to 2018 as a Consultant Microbiologist and HICC coordinator. She was instrumental in setting up Antibiotic stewardship, mentoring allied health sciences students like PFT, CPPT, Physician assistants. Dr. Lakshmi Priya was also a part of POSH committee, Safety officer, Infection control and Ethical committee. She joined Metropolis in 2020 as a Consultant Microbiologist and was instrumental in starting the molecular biology lab from scratch. She has tested over 2 lakh covid samples during the pandemic and has been in-charge of Microbiology, Serology, Molecular biology and Indirect Immunofluorescence testing since then.
