Dr. Sushil Shah is the Founder - Chairman of Metropolis Healthcare Limited. Beckoned by a strong academic career, Dr. Shah embarked upon his educational journey with the prestigious Scindia School and went onto completing his M.B.B.S in 1972 and M.D. in Pathology and Bacteriology from Grant Medical College in 1975. In 1978, he received Research Fellowship at the esteemed Cornell Medical Centre in Endocrine Pathology. Thereon, he held many prestigious academic positions and headed departments at recognised hospitals throughout his career. He has headed the RIA department at Breach Candy Hospital and Pathology Departments at Sir. H.N. Hospital, Saifee Hospital and Cumballa Hill Hospital. He has numerous scientific publications to his credit and has pioneered Radio Immunoassay Technique, HIV testing and In-Vitro Fertilisation for the first time in India. He also served as a PhD teacher in Microbiology at Mumbai University in 2004 and PhD/MSc Guide by Research at Rai University in Mumbai.

Ameera Shah is the Executive Chairperson and Whole-time Director of Metropolis Healthcare Limited, which she has built from a doctor-led practice into the second-largest diagnostic chain across India and Africa. Mr. Vivek Gambhir is currently associated with Imagine Marketing India Private Limited (BoAt Lifestyle). Prior to joining BoAt Lifestyle, he worked with Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Godrej Industries & its associate companies. He was also a founding member of Bain’s consulting operations in India and led the firm’s FMCG practice in India. He has more than ten years of experience in operations and strategy. Mr. Sanjay Bhatnagar has served as the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in India and as a Board member of the US India Strategic Partnership Forum. Prior to joining the Company, he has worked with Enron India Private Limited, WaterHealth International Inc. and the THOT Capital Group LLC. He has more than 16 years of experience in project development, marketing, and operation management. He has been a Director on our Board since 2018.

Mr. Sanjay holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Stanford University and Business Administration from Harvard University.

Mr. Hemant Sachdev is a BA in Political Science from Delhi and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He is a first-generation entrepreneur and has more than two decades of experience. He has business interests in Retail, Distribution and Education.

Mr. Subramanian Ranganathan, a seasoned corporate professional with nearly four decades of exemplary experience in Finance and Management, is the Independent Director of the Company. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and Cost Accountant. He also holds an LLB in General Law.

Mr. Subramanian Ranganathan is known for his customer-focused approach and has significantly contributed to corporate profitability. He excels in navigating through stressful situations to achieve strategic goals and possesses outstanding communication and negotiating skills. His adeptness at stakeholder engagement, both internal and external, is evident from his proven track record of effective advocacy with regulators and government bodies. Currently, Mr. Subramanian Ranganathan is affiliated with K. S. Aiyar & Co., Chartered Accountants as a Partner (Banking, Finance & Insurance.) Previously, he held the position of Managing Director at ECL Finance Limited, within the Edelweiss Group and President & Group CFO at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited. Dr. Aparna Rajadhyaksha has over 20 years of extensive experience in the medical field, coupled with a robust educational background. She holds an M.D. and M.B.B.S. degree from the University of Mumbai, D.Y. Currently, she has been serving as a Senior Medical Consultant at Metropolis Healthcare Limited for over four years and holds the position of Medical Director at Noridian Healthcare Solutions, LLC.

Ms. Purvi Sheth is CEO of Shilputsi Consultants, India’s first and premier Strategic HR consulting firm. Ms. Sheth is a distinguished leader in human resources and strategic leadership and has spent over 25 years building and maintaining high level executive relationships, demonstrating outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. As a second-generation entrepreneur, she continues to drive Shilputsi Consultants’ success and influence in the HR ecosystem. Ms. Sheth serves on several listed and unlisted boards namely Shoppers Stop Limited, Ambuja Cements Limited, Kirloskar Industries Limited, etc. and chairs NRCs and other committees for many of them.

Mr. Rehan Khan is the Managing Director of MSD India Region. With over two decades of global experience across healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, Rehan brings a strong mix of leadership experience, entrepreneurial vision, and cross-cultural expertise. Before joining MSD, Mr. Rehan was the founder of First Penguin Capital, an early-stage fund focused on the health and consumer sectors. His prior leadership roles include serving as the Managing Director of Abbott India Ltd, where he played a key role in driving strategic growth, and as the President, Asia Pacific & China at DaVita, a leading provider of kidney care services.

Mr. Rehan has worked extensively across the United States, in the UK, across Europe, and in Asia in pharmaceuticals, consulting and in private equity. He has also served as an advisor to private equity firms and has been a board member of healthcare companies in Asia and Africa.

Mr. Rehan is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and has an MSc in Health Sciences from Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program - a joint initiative between Harvard Medical School and MIT. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and has an MBA from Drexel University.

Mr. Surendran Chemmenkotil is appointed as the Managing Director of Metropolis Healthcare Limited effective June 01, 2025, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He is a seasoned leader with over 36 years of diverse experience across the office automation, telecom, and healthcare sectors. He has a proven track record in transformation, strategic execution, and building high-performance organizations. Prior to joining Metropolis in January 2023, Mr. Surendran served as Managing Director and CEO of Airtel Networks Ltd., Nigeria (Airtel Africa’s largest operation) and held senior leadership roles at Bharti Airtel Limited and Xerox India. His career has been defined by leading large-scale transformations, driving customer-centric innovation, and building resilient, growth-oriented teams.

 At Metropolis, Mr. Surendran is driving the “Metropolis 3.0” transformation, focusing on geographic expansion into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, strengthening leadership teams, advancing the company’s digital and science agendas, and expanding its direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategy. Under his leadership, Metropolis is also leading M&A-driven growth agenda and investing in scalable AI-powered platforms to enhance diagnostic precision, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
