Metropolis Clinical Diagnostics- The newest addition to the Metropolis Family

One of the leading diagnostic labs in Bihar, Central Diagnostics was incorporated in 1989 by Dr. Anjana Singh. The laboratory offers testing services in the field of biochemistry, haemotology, clinical pathology, microbiology and immuno-assays. Based in Patna, the lab is well networked through collection centers across 18 Districts of Bihar and is the only laboratory in Bihar/Jharkhand area to be certified by NABL as per IEC 15189 standards.

Milestones

• 1991 to 2000 On account of the high-quality of our work, we made a mark in the field of diagnostics within two years of our inception.
• In 1999, we felt the need for total automation ( Networking and interfacing of equipments) and by 2000 it was complete.
• We were the first laboratory to:

       a) Use fully automated random access chemistry analyzer system in 1991

       b) Install Dimension AR (Dade & Behring), 1998.

       c) To Install SF-3000 (5 part Differential cell counter) by sysmex, japan in eastern region in 1999

       d) Mini Vidas by bioMerieux by 1999.

• In 2001 & 2002, we focused on preparation for NABL accreditation
• In 2003, we got the accreditation and till date we are only accredited laboratory in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. After this phase, we started thinking about expansion.
• In 2005, we shifted the laboratory in 9000 square feet space. Today, we have the infrastructure to take up 4000 samples per day.
