COLLEGE OF AMERICAN PATHOLOGISTS [CAP]

METROPOLIS HEALTHCARE Ltd. (Mumbai Laboratory) RECEIVED THE COLLEGE OF AMERICAN PATHOLOGISTS (CAP) ACCREDITATION IN 2005.

WHAT IS CAP ACCREDITATION?

An accredited laboratory is inspected by a private not-for-profit accrediting organization (College Of American Pathologists) that has been approved by the centres for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) regulatory body functioning under the USFDA and its requirements deemed as equivalent to or more stringent than CMSs regulatory requirements. An approved accrediting organization can inspect a laboratory in lieu of CMS.

The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is an internationally recognized program and the only one of its kind that utilizes teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Designed to go well beyond regulatory compliance, the program helps laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact patient care. This accreditation program also meets the needs of a variety of laboratory settings from complex university medical centers to physician office laboratories and covers a complete array of disciplines and testing procedures.

CAP accreditation provides the laboratory with:

A sense of accomplishment

Confidence in meeting the highest standards of practice

A process where your entire laboratory team focuses on quality patient care

Edge in participation in Clinical Trials.
